In this case, let us compare the Glock 43 vs. the Glock 43X, two closely related pistols from the same manufacturer.
Glock pistols have a decent reputation for quality, accuracy and reliability. They are known for their high bullet capacity, square magazines and polymer frames. The 9mm pistol hidden in a package did not age until April 14, 2015, when they released the Glock 43.

The G43 comes on the heels of a slightly smaller package in the 380 ACP called the G42. The main competition for the G43 at the time was the S&W MP & P Shield. The Shield was designed as a pistol, and Glock knew this was the part of the market they needed to keep going.

However, some G43 shooters have complained about the new Glock pistol. That is, they found the grip too small. Some are too narrow and some are too short to shoot accurately and easily. The simple answer would be a magazine extension that could add an extra dimension to the magazine's capabilities, however, longevity is definitely what is needed.
Glock answered the call by releasing the G43X. A slightly larger pistol that can hold longer and has a 10-round magazine capacity differs from the six pistols found in the G43. So which one is better? Find out more about the 43 and 43X below.
Both pistols have very similar names and can be confusing to those who have just fired or are new to the Glock weapon. However, they are different enough with their unique advantages that detailed comparisons are guaranteed.
While on the ground the two Glock pistols look the same, the difference between the 43's and the 43X's is enough to start with the naming convention, and the Glock is probably better off using a different number than the X extra name.

As we said before, the G43 is a top secret pistol with a single magazine. One can actually be called a sub Glock as it has very small legs. The barrel length is 3.41 inches and the pistol is 6.26 inches long. The width is 1.08 inches and the height of this pistol is 4.25 inches. It holds six rounds in a factory magazine and weighs 20.64 ounces.
In contrast, the Glock 43X is slightly larger, sharing a barrel that is the same length but has a total length of 6.05 inches. It has an increased slide length and a length of 4 inches longer than 5.04 inches due to the 10 round magazine that requires a bit longer grip. It weighs 23.07 ounces. The main notable difference is that the screen has an nPVD coating, which gives it a silver color that contrasts with the black finish of the G43. However, Glock recently released the 43X with black and white slides as well.
Both pistols lack the rails that have been a staple of all Glock models for the past 20 years. This can be done to increase the latency factor of each pistol. However, some companies, such as Streamlight, offer guns equipped with visible light and a visible laser that encircles the key guard. These allow the shooter to have the option of adding smaller and smaller weapons.
The new 43X version includes an optical mounting plate as an upgrade. I do not have such an option for the G43 right now.
Concealed Carry Comparison: Glock 43x Vs 48
Another key difference between the two pistols is that the 43X slide is loaded with front serrations, while the G43 only has rear serrations milled into the slide. This is a great option for shooters who may lack the manpower to stack the slides while only the rear view. It is not a bad idea to do press censorship, especially in pistol training classes.
The bigger product of the G43X is the increased capacity of Factory Magazine. In this case, it is 10 rounds against the capacity of 6 rounds of G43. It should be noted that the magazine between the G43 and G43X is not interchangeable. Therefore, when searching for spare magazines for both pistols, double check to make sure you are getting the right magazine.
If you have large arms, the extra length of the G43X's long magazine holder and capacity boost may make sense.
Smaller pistols like the G43 and G43X are not known as tactical drivers due to their short-sighted radius, compact ergonomics design, and light weight. However, reading online reviews or other gun magazines, both pistols are accurate enough, depending on the ammunition and the skill level of the shooter.

The average accuracy for both the G43 and G43X seems to be between 2 and 3 inches at 50 feet. This is something that can be improved by adding a post-market trigger or even seeing a small red dot, such as seeing a Shield system that is small enough to fit on these small pistols without interruption. Depending on the shooter, the accuracy difference can be small to large. Shooters with larger arms can find the 43X with a slightly larger grip and longer accuracy than the 43. Shooters with smaller arms can find the opposite. In fact, most shooters will not notice the difference in accuracy. Through trial and error, it can range from borrowing a friend's pistol for another session or diligently going to a home shooting venue with a well-stocked rental unit to determine which one is right for you.
Such small guns are often unfairly criticized and thrown into the category of "too much, it fires too much." Most pickups are never bad. Frequent shots can be. Both pistols are reliable and reasonable. The 43X holds the gun well for most shooters, and unless the shooter has small arms, it should succeed in the right category.
There does not seem to be any major performance or reliability issues with these small Glocks. Like all Glock pistols, there are extensive engineering processes and tests before they are released to the market. Each shows up at the desired level before entering the ring.

With all this information in mind and no Glocks sub in your hand. The 43X can look attractive. Easier styling, increased magazine capabilities, and silver slides seem like a great improvement and make the pistol look better, right?
That's when you need to get away from words and pictures and choose individual pictures to see how they hold and feel.
Where the G43 has an advantage over its smaller sibling, the 43X, is that it can be a bit more hidden. Reading the size comparison above may not reveal this point, but trying to take one or the other and place it on the fabric or ankle will definitely make a difference.
As you know, the hardest part of any weapon to hide is the grip. This may not be as wide or long as the grip pattern found in the 10mm G20 or G40 yet, sometimes inches or fractions of an inch can make a big difference between a concealed gun and a "print". Also, the G43 may be suitable for ankle lifts.

It all depends on how much you like to take photos with the G43 or G43X. Arm size can play a role here as well as concealer. While both pistols cannot be held openly, as opposed to stealth, opener shooters may want to look at a larger and easier-to-fire model of the G19 or G17 compared to the Glocks subcompact.
Everything is equal, it can fall into aesthetics. Some may prefer the silver color of the 43X over the black finish of the G43. In some shootings, they may have opposed the case.
Ultimately, it is up to you. The slightly larger size and increased capacity of the magazine may appeal to some shooters, while others will appreciate the smaller size and weight of the G43.
